Issues about model driven apps

1. About Flow, what is the meaning and usage of the Flow trigger “When an item is selected in CDS”? I did not find its documentation.

2. Is there any way we can add a custom button in the Model Driven App to call Flows / execute JavaScript?

3. Can we have upload / display Pictures functionality in the Form of a record?

4. I know we can delete n:n relationships quickly in the View of the relationship, by multi-selecting the records and clicking 'Delete' button, but how can we delete 1:n or n:1 relationships quickly? Currently if we do multi-selection in the View for 1:n / n:1 relationships, and then click the 'Delete' button, these records themself get deleted instead of the relationships. The only way I could see is that we go to the Form page of one specific record and directly click the 'X' icon in the field control. This is just too time-consuming and error-prone as we need to delete relationships regularly.

5. I'm currently using Flow HTTP trigger to implement nested Flows (a Flow calls another Flow), is there any other way to achieve this use case? One thing that scares me is that HTTP trigger is not safe if someone knows my endpoint and he could call my Flow as many times as he wants. Particularly if I call the Flow in JavaScript, basically anyone can see my endpoint.

Hi @xilef,

For your first question, do you mean that the "When an item is selected in CDS" trigger? I have also searched about this trigger, there is no official doc mentioned about the "When an item is selected in CDS" trigger.

I think this trigger is still in Test state, and not available currently.

For your second question, do you want to add a custom button within your Model Driven App? I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs. Customizing a button within Model Driven app is not supported in PowerApps.

For your third question, do you want to upload/display Pictures within your Model -Driven app form? If you want to upload/display Pictures within your Model-Driven app form, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs currently.

For your forth question, do you want to delete 1:n or n:1 relationship directly via clicking "Delete" button? Currently, there is no direct way to delete 1:n or n:1 relationship directly within the View.

For your fifth question, as an alternative solution, you could consider take a try to trigger/fire another flow from a PowerApps app instead of a flow.

More details about starting a flow from an app (canvas app), please check the following article:

Start a flow

Best regards,

Kris
