It takes too long time to open a PowerApps canvas in IE browser.

Hi there,

 

We created a PowerApps form via customize forms in SharePoint list (See below).

However, when we try to open the form in IE browser, it takes too long time to open it.

We do not have any idea how it can be improved.

We have collected a log which is performed from clicking on an item on SharePoint list and until the form is opened in IE browser.

Please let me know what is wrong?

Try another browser besides IE. 

 

Though, I just tried testing an existing form with IE, and it didn't load at all, while it loads fine in chrome...

 

But also, the first time you load an app, you'll get the blue screen with the loading gif, and that's just part of using power apps. If you open another item, that loading screen shouldn't appear, and the form should load more quickly.

Can you please provide a session id when this happens?

 

To do so please follow the instructions at

Specifically:

When running an embedded app or form

Perform one of these steps:

 - While holding down the Alt key, right-click the app or form.
 - Tap the app or form with two fingers for 1-2 seconds, and then release.
Select Session details.

Hi @charlotte ,

I've made a similar test but met the same problem that you met.

Here is the method that I use to solve this problem:

1)customize this form

 2)resave and republish this form

3)After you choose "back to sharepoint list", please refresh the page

Then open this sharepoint custom form, it will not have this problem again.

 

I think this problem should be about the form's version being too odd.

So resaving and republishing will help.

What's more, you could also try to clean the browser's cache, update it to the latest version.

Make sure you are in a good condition of network.
