## Julian date to a calendar date using PowerApps

I know there is another post about going from calendar date to Julian but I was wondering how to do the reverse. I have a 5 number string, say 36222, the first three are the day of the year and the last two are the year, so the 362nd day of the year 2022. I am trying to figure out how to convert that date into its respective calendar date, for this example I would like to be able to get PowerApps to recognize that 362nd day of the year 2022 is December 28, 2022.

HI,

Here is one way.

1) Get the days

Last(FirstN(Split(TextInput2.Text,""),1)).Value&Last(FirstN(Split(TextInput2.Text,""),2)).Value&Last(FirstN(Split(TextInput2.Text,""),3)).Value

Above will get the first three numbers.

Then the same type to get the last 2 numbers, at the same time I am setting the date to 1/1/20 and adding the last two numbers. this makes sure it starts the first day of each year.

"01/01/20"&Last(FirstN(Split(TextInput2.Text,""),4)).Value&Last(FirstN(Split(TextInput2.Text,""),4)).Value

Then we add the days to the date above

Now I have attached an illustrated document also with all the steps. please note you can choose the start day from Jan1 or Dec 31.. both formulas are there
