I have a label on my main screen reflecting a global variable named DebugText. The text is set initially to a default value "debug" in the start property of the app.
This label is happily showing info until I use it in the select property of an icon in which I make a syntax error (wrong field name), the text just disappears. Not at using the icon, not just in this session, not just in this screen when i close and run it again, but even if I use the App, Run OnStart. And even all this when I remove (not correct but completely remove and replace with "false") the naughty code from the icon select and do it all over again. It has just vanished. It has seased to be. It is a dead label.
Then if I close the edit session completely and restart editing it from the powerapps without changing any code it is back again.
Is there any logic whereby I should not be surprised at all this?
No don't think the code is the problem I thought i covered all the angles.
I removed all code so no snippets necessary.
I set the variable in app ontstart so it should have a value.
I run onstart (app-righ click- run onstart). The label remains blank.
The complete exact same circumstamce is no problem anymore when I restart editing the app alltogether.
Hi @dierenartsnl ,
Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side (PowerApps Studio version 3.19054.15), and don't have the issue that you mentioned.
According to the issue that you mentioned, I think this issue may be related to PoweerApps Studio itself rather than the formula you used in your app.
Please consider clear cache of your browser, then sign in your PowerApps again, check re-create a new app, then check if the issue is solved.
