Leave Request app

Hello I have built the Demo Leave Request app and it is functioning. I am looking for a way to create an item on a sharepoint calendar. Has any succesfully done this? I am currently using excel online (OneDrive) to hold the data. I cannot seem to see any connector that would trigger a flow to post the data to a sharepoint calendar/list

Hi @Solarioc,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Could you please share a screenshot of your app's configuration?

Further, do you want to trigger a flow from your app and pass data to the flow?

I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:

Flow configuration (20180806_case5😞1.JPG

App Configuration:2.JPG

Set the OnSelect property of the "Submit" button to following formula:

SubmitForm(EditForm1);
'20180806_case5'.Run(DataCardValue10.Text,DatePicker1.SelectedDate,DatePicker2.SelectedDate,DataCardValue8.Text,DataCardValue6.Text)

Note: The '20180806_case5' represents the flow created above, which use the PowerApps button as the trigger.

More details about starting a flow from an app, please check the following article:

Hi - I would use the PowerApps trigger in Flow and a Create Item step to create the calendar item. While my Calendar list wasn't available in the dropdown for the SharePoint Create Item step in Flow, I was able to type it in as custom value. Then you could just use "ask in PowerApps" for the Start / End and other info and run the Flow when the user submits their leave request. Does that make sense? scrn.png
