LeaveRequest App improvments

hi all,

I'm trying to polish my LeaveRequest app and I was thinking about few improvments - changes. If anyone know how to implement this please let me know.

  1. Accept / decline leave request from email - when manager receive email he can accept or decline just by clicking specific button
  2. Block manager login only for managers
  3. Create pdf after accepting leave request - will I need to connect PowerApps with Flow? I want to have a pdf file for HR purposes, and there fields like

Leave Request from:

Type of leave:

Dates:

Approved by:

Thanks in advance!

Re: LeaveRequest App improvments

Quick thoughts 🙂

1. You can use the Flow Approval action to do this. I have it in a few apps and works well.

2. You can set the Visible property on the button to only be true when User().Email = "YourManagerEmailAddress". Once you get that working then you can make it more scalable.

3. Make PDFs with Flow should have everything you need.

My code looks like this but it's still not working properly

Set(_managerView;true & User().Email = "YourManagerEmailAddress");;
Set(_requestTypeFilter;"Pending");;
Navigate(HomeScreen;None)
