Legacy ribbon option dissapeared

"Enable legacy ribbon" option has suddenly dissapeared! I don't care about the looks but the problem some users are experiencing, including myself, is that data sources option is not available in the new ribbon! So now that the legacy ribbon is deprecated, how in the world can we update our data sources? This is absolutely outrageous

You can get around this (yes I know its a workaround not a solution) by forcing all of the feature flags to mimic an App that was created today:

Enable features in older Power Apps - iAm_ManCat Blog (iammancat.dev)

@cygnet , what Authoring version are you on?  If above this version, you could try reverting to a previous version?

Anchov_0-1678976280685.png

Also, I have never encountered an issue with the data sources button mission with the new ribbon.  Have you looked in another environment or tenant? I would definitely open a Microsoft support ticket on that.

@Anchov thanks a lot. The legacy ribbon toggle it is being deprecated with the new version, please see link below

What is unacceptable is that we loose key functionalities with that change. It is something that has been reported already as old apps were having issues with the data source buttons when new ribbon was implemented, and still facing what it is a crucial issue on any app. Very poor response from the developers, really frustrating.

@iAm_ManCat  you are a rockstar!!! It worked like a charm. If you follow the replacement solution it is actually a solution, much more than a workaround because it will open with all the functionalities from that moment on.

Thanks a lot for sharing!

Hi @cygnet@iAm_ManCat

Not sure if it’s only me but since this week now I cannot see Save As functionality because of not available
… -> Variables -> Save As which I used very recently

and also not available Enable Legacy Ribbon.

How can we replace the existing app by our just opened from local file?
