Licencing with Offfice 365 E3 and SharePoint Connector

Hi All,

I am considering to start to learn PowerApps + Flow in order to replace InfoPath (which is no longer supported by Microsoft) and build some nice interfaces on SharePoint (using SharePoint data).

Before investing my time, I would like to know if with this Set Up I will be required to pay additional licences for the users (this is critical for me to make the decision)

Thank you in advance for your time!

Re: Licencing with Offfice 365 E3 and SharePoint Connector

Hi @Seba1

If you're connecting to SharePoint only, there is no need for additional user licenses.

The main limitation is that you won't be able to connect to 'premium' datasources (including custom connectors), you won't have access to the CDS, and you won't be able to connect to on-premises data with the on-premises gateway.

As long as the users all have Office 365 E3 licenses, or any other Office 365 license that includes PowerApps, and you don't connect to any outside Premium services then you will not need any additional licensing.
