Licensing question - Power BI and Power Apps

Hi,

We have a solution where we complete a questionairre with the end outcome being that after the final submission we take them to a page where they have a Power BI tile embedded into the app.

Licensing wise is a Power BI Pro license required for this? Assuming yes but just confirming that no new licensing changes have come about?

Thanks

Re: Licensing question - Power BI and Power Apps

Hi @mattyn07 ,

Do you want to use Power BI tile control within your canvas app?

If you want to use Power BI tile control in your canvas app, you need to have sufficient permission to access Power BI features, so you need to own Power BI Pro license at least for your current sign in account.

In addition, if you want to access PowerApps features, you also need to own proper PowerApps license (Office 365 for PowerApps license at least).

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/pricing-billing-skus

Except above licenses, there is no extra licenses needed for accessing Power BI data through Power BI tile control within your canvas app.

Note: The Power BI Pro License and Power Apps license are separated licenses. You need to purchase for them individually.
