Limitations of Custom Fonts (Barcode Fonts)

Hi, I have learned that it is possible to use custom fonts when making Canvas apps by manually changing the Font parameter to a system font (but that it must be installed on all systems using the app).

However, this doesn't work with all fonts, particularly the Libre Barcode 128 font from Google Fonts. I also notice that it doesn't work with some MS fonts like Ebrima and Javanese Text. It doesn't seem to matter whether they are TrueType or OpenType. Could anyone explain why these fonts are different from ones that do work, such as Verdana?

And does anyone happen to have a barcode font that *does* work in Power Apps? I am trying to have a fallback 128 code that can be used when an internet connection is unavailable to generate a QR code through an API Flow.
