Limiting time ranges based on date/time 24 hours out

Hello,

Please see the attached screenshot. I am customizing a SharePoint Online form using PowerApps. I am trying to limit the time ranges in the "Requested Window" combo box based on the current time 24 hours out. So for example, if now is 4 pm, then the "Requested Window" combo box should show all options except the first two. 

I've built a list (also attached) that I think might help, but I am having trouble figuring out the formula to do this.

Hello @sher5817 ,

You need to change Your Sharepoint List

Set Start Time and Finish Time as Date Time

and place the range of time in them

 

Then in Your app rather using Drop Down change it to Combo Box it have a uniqe ability what alows You to pick filed from data base to display and you can use Filter in Items

 

 

Filter(
    Times,
    StartTime >= Now()
)

This code will do the trick it will look on current time and show only data what is Grather or equal then current time but You can change it as You like

But if I change the time manyualy to early one

 

You will notice the valuses in combo box change as well

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for the information. However, when I change the Start Time and End Time to date/time and try to enter the data (for example 7:00 for start time and 1:00 as end time for the first entry for example, it's inserting an actual date value with no time value. Not sure what to do here.

Hi @sher5817,

Ok, Did you toggle include Time?

If not, do that please, Then Your date and Time picker date does not matter, but if for some reason it will You can cast

Start time to TimeValue(StartTime) this will throw you delegation but just ignore it in this case

Filter(
    Times,
    StartTime >= Now()
)

But I think You will not need to do that PowerApps should find it way to compare them if not there is another option

TEXT(StartTime,"hh:mm") > TEXT(Now(),"hh:mm")

So hope one of them will work for You

@sher5817 personally I think it should work with numbers just as well, i.e. leaving your dataset as is. Use a combobox with Items

Filter('Appt windows sharepoint list', Hour(Now())<='End Time').Title

where 'Appt windows sharepoint list' is your sharepoint list where you store the various appointment times, and 'End time' is the name of column that has the end times in 24 hour format. 'title' is just the main column where you define what you want your appt times to be called, but you can specify other columns to display as well, such as ID, etc. Hope this helps
