Was having some issues this afternoon with the latest version of the App not being downloaded to my testing device.
This has happened in the past, however, was overcome by closing PowerApps and clicking a link to the app which would automatically open up the app in PowerApps iOS and download the latest version.
Have just updated to PowerApps 2.0.661 on the App Store, unfortunately, it seems that whenever I click on a link to an app now, the client application no longer opens up, instead the app opens inside a new tab of whatever browser I'm using. Is this expected behaviour or a maybe a bug with this release?
Any workarounds appreciated. Cheers
Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app along with a reboot of the phone, still getting the same behaviour.
Hoping someone out there might be aware of this. All our PowerApps are opened by users on an online portal.
Where is this app link stored that you clicked on? Is this link from another app or inside a email on your phone? Is this happening to just ios? Have you tried with some other phones?
Hi @v-monli-msft, following up to see whether this has gone anywhere? We're intending on deploying to 700+ users pretty soon and the method of having URLs to all our PowerApps automatically open in the iOS App was working really great, especially for triggering updates on the local version of a given app.
