Loading 60,000 SharePoint List Items
.I create an Excel File, 1 Column only, value from 1 to 2000
.Import SpreadSheet To SharePoint List name it Loops
.My sample data using Excel File 60,000 rows, data
exported form table FactInternetSales Database AdventureWorks2012
.Import SpreadSheet To SharePoint List name it InternetSales
.In Internet Sales add a new column type number
.Create a Flow (Trigger Manual) name it AddColumn N, SharePoint Get Items, Apply To Each, inside use SharePoint Update Item, Update N Column : int(div(item()?['ID'],2000))
.Run Flow AddColumn N, it might take hours (6-8 hours)
.Create a Flow (Trigger by PowerApps) name it RowsCount
.Add Send HTTP request to SharePoint (ListName=InternetSales)
.Add Respond to PowerApp. Add new Number Output name it RowsCount. Expression : body('Send_an_HTTP_request_to_SharePoint')['d']['ItemCount']
.Create New PowerApp name it GetInternetSales
.File - Settings - Advanced Settings - Value :2000
.Save. Publish. Close
.Set App - OnStart
.Drag 1 Button
.Set OnSelect :
.Drag 1 Data Table
.Set Items : Sort(MyIS,ID,Descending)
I get that it works. But the bigger question is Why? As you point out following this will take over 8 hours just to load the data. Better to either learn to do delegation in SharePoint or use a better data source with better delegation support like SQL or CDS. Trying to handle 60,000 items inside PowerApps is an exercise in futility.
