Locked out of my own custom forms while building Sharepoint site

I am tasked with building a company Intranet for my employer. Yesterday I have agreed with my manager that the site I have built would no longer be a demo draft and that this would be the site the organisation uses, so we have changed the URL from xxxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/IntranetDemo1 to xxxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/Intranet and made the site in question a Hub site which would have each departmental sites linked to the hub.

I then visited the site page I am using to display one of my custom forms based on a Sharepoint list, but am denied access with this following error message:

The sharePoint request failed with error: '{"odata.error":{"code":"-2147024891, System.UnauthorizedAccessException","message":{"lang":"en-US","value":"Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource."}}}'. The tracking Id is '0d8de6a7-9a40-4a3f-bfa0-244289e565bc'

So I found the list in question and went to PowerApps -> Customise forms, only to be locked out of the form and not be able to edit it.

I've looked into the list permissions and I have still full ownership of the SharePoint lists, and can edit the lists themselves when selecting "Quick Edit". This is fine but the custom forms are required!

The only thing I can notice is when looking at the list permissions, the owner, member and guest permissions are still listed as "Intranet Demo 1 Owners/Members/Visitors" and not the new name of the site. 

This is across the board for all the business forms I have created. I am a SharePoint newbie (placement year student) and am terrified that I have just lost all my forms and will have to start the forms from scratch.

Not sure if this is the answer tbh, but what I would try is adding the hubsite Owners/Members/Visitors to the permissions groups, ie Intranet Members is a part of IntranetDemo1 Members.

I have tried adjusting permissions as you have said. This has not worked; I am still locked out of my forms.

The issue does not lie within SharePoint permission levels 😞

ok, and if you go to the list settings > form settings> See versions and usage this should take you to a PowerApps window for that form - you can export the package (app) from there and import it somewhere else if you need to copy the contents.

Ideally, since it sounds like the renaming of the site affected it then you might need to raise it with Microsoft Support - anyone with an admin account should be able to raise it from the PowerApps Admin Portal or from the Microsoft365 Admin Portal

Hi @iAm_ManCat ,

I have spoken with Microsoft support.

Changing the URL of a Sharepoint site will break any custom forms attached to this site.

It is important to use "Create an app" and not "Customise forms" when creating forms associated with a list if you have any suspicion that you will change the site URL down the line. 

This is a known PowerApps vulnerability according to the support team, and this hopefully will be fixed one day in the future.

I actually had no idea about this, so this is completely new information to me - going to have to a look at two potential sites myself that I know could be renamed in our work tenant, so thank you again for sharing the feedback from Microsoft Support,
