Login Screen with barcodescanner

Hello,

for a university project my group would like to create a loginscreen in power apps that uses a barcodescanner.

In specific I have a sharepoint list "Employees" with colums about the employee. We added a calculated colum "EmployeeID" that concatenate the informations for example "MustermannMaxHHGer1234". We generated a QR code for this example and we would like to scan the code and it should lookup if one of the EmployeeID would match with the scanned code. If there is a match, then the login is true and it would navigate to the browse screen.

We tried using the following function but powerapps says that there is an error.
If(!IsBlank(Lookup(Employees; EmployeeID=BarcodeScanner1.Value); Navigate('Browser Screen')

Is there a way to solve this problem?

Thank you!

Hi @Mirei96

From your screenshot, seems that you put one of the “)” in a wrong place. So you should use this formula:

If(!IsBlank(Lookup(Employees; EmployeeID=BarcodeScanner1.Value)); Navigate('Browser Screen'))

Note the red section in above formula.

Best Regards,

Allen
