LongDate in other Language

Hi

I´m trying to add the longDate in my app in spanish, in a textbox I have

Text(DateValue(Text(Today()), "es-cr"), DateTimeFormat.LongDate)

But I got Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Is it possible to translate the longdate to another language?

Thank you

I have played around a bit and it does not seem possible out of the box.

I think that the LongDate format will display in your system setting, and since I have UK settings I get this, and not what you get.

However, I changed my system setttings to Spanish(Spain) and it changed the way dates are displayed in Excel but not PowerApps, so I am not sure where PowerApps gets it from.

The only foolproof way I can suggest if you want all your users to see a date in Spanish is to load the names of the month and the names of the days of the week in Spanish into your app as two tables of static data, say SPWeekdayNames and SPMonthNames.

Then you can set your date display using these tables.  Here is an example...

Please let me know if you need more details.

The correct syntax would be:

Text(Today(), DateTimeFormat.LongDate, "es-cr")
