Looking data from cds for barcode scan.

Hi Everyone, 

I'm trying to lookup data from CDS related to a Barcode Scan. 

I want to scan QR Codes on boxes in a warehouse and return the box information and history to user from within PowerApps. 

Can anyone advise how to do a data lookup directly from the QR scan?

Which field in the entity does the scan value relate to?

 

You can add a Form control, set the Items property as follows to show all info of scanned box.

LookUp(Entity, 'Field of Scan Value'=SearchValue)

Hi @matt1405 ,

 

In general, the output of Barcode Scan should correspond to the GUID field of the box entity or something like, and Use LookUp() formula to retrieve the record with box information and history from the Entity based on the Scan Output.

If you don't mind share details, we'd be able to provide much furtherer assistance.

Thanks for your help. 

The app is to track boxes through a warehouse process, at any point they need to scan a QR Code and see the box history. 

Created By, Location, Creation Date and Stage. 

 

I've added a scanner

OnScan Set(SearchValue, BarcodeScanner1.Value)

and text box to show the code  

Default If(!IsBlank(SearchValue), SearchValue)

However I don't want to show the code I want to show related fields within the CDS Entity, ideally within a form.
