Lookup CDS Entity for a column field from a Sharepoint List Field, followed by patching the lookup field into same Sharepoint list.

Hello,

I have a sharepoint list where users populate entries into defined columns, e.g.

Column A

EntryA

EntryB

EntryC

I would like to lookup an associated field (CDSColumnY) in a separate CDS Entity with Column A entries as the relationship entity.

CDSColumn X | CDSColumnY

EntryA             | LookupfieldA

EntryB             | LookupfieldB

EntryC             | LookupfieldC

And lastly, I'd like to patch the Lookupfields (LookupfieldA, LookupfieldB, LookupfieldC) back into my original sharepoint List.

How could i display the required lookupfields in my powerapp (thru lookup functions?) and execute the patching as well?

thanks in advance,

V

Hi @vaevictis ,

First bit

Lookup(
   Entity2,
   CDSColumnX = YourControlName.Text       //if text box?
).CDSColumnY

I am a bit lost on the second bit - if you are matching the entry, would not there be only one matching record?
