Lookup field in model driven

Hi, I have a question.  If we make a lookup field in an entity, when the field is shown in model driven, it will only show the value of primary field of the entity that we lookup to. How do I choose specific field instead of the primary field?

Hi @NurNina ,

You can add a new key to your entity by opening it in the Portal (Data > Entities > Your Entity) clicking keys, and adding a new key and then select the field you want to use. Try if this could help.

I have a few question:

  1.  May I know what is the function of creating a new key?
  2. Let's say if I created Sales Order Line that has a lookup field to product called Item. When I display the field in the Sales Orde Line form, how does the new key help me with choosing the field I want (from product) instead of the primary field (of product) ?

The lookup field in the form always presents the Primary Attribute of the entity.
If you need more information you can automatically concatenate them in the Primary Attribute.

How to concatenate them in primary attribute?

I would love to know the answer to this question as well.

Got it on how to create keys.  My question is how you get model-built apps to use them?

I couldn't get the above solution to work. However I created a work around.

Update the Associate View with the colums you require.

Then when in the view "See Associate View" You can then filter from the associate view.
