Lookup function delegation warning

Hi,

Within my form control I've set the default property of selected datacardvalue inputs to:

LookUp(SharepointListName,ID=DataCardValue3.Text,NeededField)

Datasource: Sharepoint list

So the user needs to put the ID value into DataCardValue3 and the 'NeededField' value will populate the selected datacardvalue input.

This is working- it returns the desired values but I'm getting the delegation warning- why and how to do I fix it?

This form is the next phase in a process and my aim is to 'reuse' information already captured from the prior phase (form).

Thank you.

Regards,

Daniel

Hi @DanielRK ,

Try

LookUp(
   SharepointListName,
   ID=Value(DataCardValue3.Text)
).NeededField

Hi @WarrenBelz ,

Thank you again as always for your awesome solutions!

My question is how do you know when do change the syntax of the lookup function? Is there documentation detailing how to change, when and why?

I want to understand the underlying principles behind this.

Thank you again.

Best,

Daniel

No Problems @DanielRK ,
