Lookup items as a replacement for gallery.selected

Hi,

What i'm trying to achieve is I want to get the latest record modified from sharepoint. I will need to email that the details from that record. I tried using getting it from gallery and it usually takes time to get the update and I need it ASAP.   Can I replace the tlOpenLastM.Selected to a lookup?

Also, this is my item gallery:

First(SortByColumns(Filter(CollectAlert,_LeaderEmail = User().Email And CoachingStatus_ = "Open"), "Modified" ,Descending))

I need to apply this filtering for each item I need to send in the email.

Hi @josefm2

In general, we should avoid referencing other screens.

Set OnSelect property of the gallery to

Set(SelectedRecord, ThisItem); Navigate(Screen1, ScreenTransition.None)

On the other screen (Reference the variable instead of Gallery)

Application ID : SelectedRecord._AppID

Thanks,

Hi @josefm2 ,

I am more curious of why it would take time to get the update. Basically Galleries will show the results immediately when data source is updated. So could you please share more details about your scenario? How do you update the data source? In your codes there is "CollectAlert", is it a collection?

The thing is using too many LookUp in a single formula may cause performance issue. I would prefer to create a new collection to include this single record, use it in the html codes.
