Looping thru Sharepoint List in Powerapps

Dear All,

I am very fresher to powerapps.. but have programming knowledge.

I have got a requirement to develop a powerapp to display the List item from sharepoint in powerapp in some interval.

Let say, i have 5 items in sharepoint list and it needs to looped and every 5 seconds it needs to move to other item. If 1st item is showing now, after 5 seconds it should move to 2nd item from sharepoint. I know this interval can be managed using timer in sharepoint. But how will i loop thru item in gallery control. (Something like Auto Carousal)

PLease your expert advise needed.

I found this easier to achieve but adding a new column into my SP List called CarousalNum which I just gave each item a sequential number ie 1, 2, 3 ...

The, on a new screen

- insert a Timer control, sets its Duration to 5000 (5 seconds)

- set its Repeat & Autostart properties to true

- set its Start property to vStart

- set its OnTimerEnd to

Set(vGalItem, If(vGalItem=vMaxCarousal,1,vGalItem+1))

Insert a button and call it 'Start Timer'

- set its OnSelect to

Set(vStart, true); Set(vGalItem, 1); Set(vMaxCarousal, First(Sort(ayourSPList,CarousalNum,Descending)).CarousalNum)

Insert another button and call it 'Stop Timer'

- set its OnSelect to

Set(vStart,false)

Insert a Flexible Height Gallery

- set its Items property to yourSPList

- any controls you want inside your gallery Group these together

  - set the Visible property of this Group to

ThisItem.CarousalNum=vGalItem

Set up your gallery how you want it to look eg set ShowScrollBar  = false, etc. This gives you the basics but you can hide the Timer, set other settings to make the timer stop, etc. Here it is in action
