Losing Connection Between Powerapps and SharePoint List Data

Dear All, 

 

At work, we have designed an app that allows users to monitor airborne flights. Users are allowed to add / edit / remove flights on a continua's basis and the data is then saved to a SharePoint list. For this reason, the app needs to be open at all times throughout the day to keep track of all flights and allow the user to edit a flight based on its status. 

 

Recently, we have been observing that after a period of time, sometimes the app remains open but the data in the gallery disappears, showing that there might be a possible connection loss between powerapps and SharePoint. Upon closing and reopening the app, the data reappears indicating that the connection has been re established. What is important to note is that the app has been in operation for three years now and has never been observed to exhibit this erratic behaviour. We have checked all the connections by removing them and re adding them again, just to make sure that the app was working fine. However, this did not seem to do the trick and from time to time the app is losing the data, which is not the end of the world but its a nuisance for the users since they need to have the data readily available at all times. It is also worth mentioning that an automatic refresh is inbuilt within the app to refresh the data ever so often.

Does anyone know how to address this issue besides closing the app and reopening it again? It seems that it is a connectivity issue however it would be nice to know if anyone else is experiencing such issues with other apps.

Thanks for your reply. The problem is still being experienced from time to time so it definitely has not been solved yet. I will seek additional help via a support ticket as you suggested. 

If anyone reading this forum has experienced such an issue and has solved it in some way, kindly let me know.

I have the same problem with the connection to SharePoint lists. My data dissapear after a short period of time. 
My workaround is open the SharePoint site to get the connection again and, after that, I open again the app. But this is not really friendly for our users. 

Did you resolve it?
