My question is about Gateways/MYSQL.
I have a checkin app for the lobby of an elementary school. Parents late dropping off/pickup early no longer use a sheet of paper, they do it on an app. The app writes checkin/out data to a Sharepoint Online list but Sharepoint has its data limitations. So, I plan to write the data to MYSQL. I connected MYSQL through Powerapps and installed a Gateway but all on my local machine. I realize the Gateway needs to be used on a computer that is always on. I believe we have a server at work that i could use. However, I'm a novice to this so here are my questions:
1. Would I need to log in to Powerapps from the server computer, install a new gateway or can i do it remote through my machine?
2. Can i connect everything from the MYSQL database on my machine or would i also need to install MYSQL on the server computer in order to connect data to it from the gateway?
Totally confused and I can't find literature online to my specific problem.
Guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

The sound quality isn't great, but here's a YouTube video on how to setup MySQL and PowerApps with a data gateway. But as I mentioned in my reply to your other post you really don't need MySql. The MySQL database and gateway are both premium and will add licensing costs to the app.
