I am new to PowerApps but I am trying to create a mailto button within PowerBI which will open Outlook and auto populate email addresses from the connected PowerBI data I have linked.
Please tell me what is wrong with this function:
Launch("Mailto:" &[@PowerBIIntegration].Data.'Email Address')
Below is my assumption on your requirement
with this assumption, 2 things need to fix it
1. [@PowerBIIntegration].Data could be a table. You have to parse the table to get the email address
2. Syntax - Launch("mailto:emailaddress")

For more context, yes I am attempting to create a powerapps button that sits within my Power BI dashboard so when slicer information is filtered I can email specific email addresses.
I have attempted both options here.
1. [@PowerBIIntegration].Data - still produces an error
2. Launch("mailto:emailaddress") - launches Outlook with emailaddress as the recipient.
In my case, I'm binding PowerBIIntegration data to Gallary since getting as table
Gallery1 - Items property = PowerBIIntegration.Data
Onselect Property I'm getting the data like
As I mentioned PowerBIIntegration.Data is a table, so we need to get one item. We can use First
I tested and works fine.
Please do not forget to give kudos if you find the suggestion helpful or Accept it as a solution if works fine to help other users to find it useful.
