Make Icon Hidden when data card Value is set

Trying to get Edit Icon to be hidden with status column of a sharepoint list is set to approved from Waiting

 

If('Medical Doctor Time Sheet'.TimeCardStatus = "Waiting Approval",true,false) did not work. 

 

Rules Did not work either.  

 

Any ideas.

Hi @BradHolt,

 

I assume that your "TimeCardStatus" column is a choice column. Then the formula should be:

If(DataCardValue1.Selected.Value = "Waiting Approval",true,false) 

DataCardValue1 should be the dropdown control's name inside the data card of TimeCardStatus column.

Hi Brad,


Datacards have mulitple components pre-grouped together. You might not be referring to the right control part within your data card.

 

See the attached image for the Text input control that is within the data card, and explicitly refer to the .Text attribute in your if statement. I would expect something like below:

 

EditIcon.Visible = If(DataCardValueX.Text = "Waiting Approval", true, false)

Where do you put that formula. I tried in the visible property of the icon and it came up with an error.
