When using PowerApps in the browser, on a laptop for example, Location.Latitude/Longitude are at the whim of your internet connection.
I get a different Lat/Long depending on:
I propose eliminating Lat/Long "pseudo-sensors" from the browser altogether just like PowerApps does not allow Offline caching of content in the browser.
Its not accurate. Don't use it.
Please don't make me create an "Idea" for this... too busy and it will be 3 years before people understand that they too need this!
Also curious WHEN PowerApps "pulls" a user lat/long...
I can change internet connections mid stride and the lat/long does NOT change (even though it has). Seems like I need to close/open the app to get it to recognize the change...
Hi @ericonline ,
Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?
Actually, the result the Location.Latitude formula and the Location.Longitude formula returns is based on the Region you set for your device.
If you want the Location.Latitude formula and the Location.Longitude formula returns proper values, you set the Region of your device as your local region.
In addition, the result the Location.Latitude formula and the Location.Longitude formula returns would not be updated automatically when your device is from offline to online. Currently, as an fixed solution, you must re-open your app.
Hi @v-xida-msft ,
I have to politely refute 🙂 !
And just to be clear of the impact here... This basically nullifies developing any location-based services if users will use a laptop/desktop during a usecase.
