Manager's Manager

Hi everyone. Hoping someone can help me figure out how to find someone's 2nd level manager.

In my form, I'm choosing someone in a people picker. In this case, it's Cheryl. See AgentNamePerson card.

I've used the following code to get her manager in the TM Name card: Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue1.Selected.Email).displayName. It works as you can see "Cara" in the TM Name card.

I can't figure out what code to use in the SM Name card to get Cara's manager. See attached pic.

Hi @smartin ,

What is the items property of your person picker combobox? What is the data source of this form?If your data source is SP list and the specialist name is person column, please just set SM Name card value Defaults property:

Office365Users.ManagerV2(Office365Users.ManagerV2(ComboBox1.Selected.Email).mail).displayName

I've done something similar where I was trying to get my Manager's Manager's email address. Would something like this work for you?

Office365Users.Manager(Office365Users.Manager(Office365Users.MyProfile().Mail).Mail).Mail

Thanks for the reply but it doesn't work. 😞

What I need is the manager of the manger for the person who is picked in the people picker. Not the user using form.

You could probably still make it work if you modified the inner most Office365 connector. What if you changed what it to something more like

Office365Users.Manager(Office365Users.Manager(Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:*Name of your dropdown*.Text).Mail).Mail).Mail
