Mass-Update items in a gallery based on a checkbox tick

I want to mass-update items in a gallery's statuses to "Completed" based on them being checked, or not checked.

Data Source = 'Action Plans'

Each gallery item is an action plan that has to be completed. I want to check all of the completed items, and update their statuses using a button at the bottom. So the button mass-updates all of the item statusses.

I cant get the button to do this. I don't know how to change the status based on the checkbox, as well as using ForAll to patch each individual item based on the abovementioned condition.

Hi @gmaasz ,

Where’s your data source from ?

Can you show me your formula ?

I assume that your data source is from sharepoint list .

I have made a test .

I create a list named test4 .status column is single text type.

Set Onselect property of the button to :

ForAll(RenameColumns(Filter(Gallery1.AllItems,Checkbox1.Value=true),"ID","ID1"),Patch(test4,LookUp(test4,ID=ID1),{status:"completed"}))

Re: Mass-Update items in a gallery based on a checkbox tick

I used your formula and am getting an error. The data source is a SP list, and the column is named 'Issue Status'. It gives me the following error on the column:

The type of argument 'Status' does not match the expected type 'Record'. Found type 'Text'.
