Mass update of SQL table based on data in a gallery from a view

I have a gallery with data from a SQL View (which summarizes data by Job from a Job table) loaded in a collection.

The user clicks checkboxes to flag certain rows in the gallery. (I apply these checkbox values to the collection behind the gallery).

I then want to update all the SQL records that have the job number of each selected checkbox. For each summary record in the gallery, there can be many records in the SQL table with the same job number that should be updated based on the flag for that record/job.

What is the best way to do this? I am puzzled. I can put a ForAll with a ForAll, I guess, but that is highly inefficient and slow. There must be a better way.

Example:

Gallery displays (from collection that is loaded from a SQL View):

Job 11

Job 12

Job13

...

In SQL table, each Job may have 5, 10 or more records that I then need to set a flag field, based on the user setting the flag in the gallery.
