Microsoft Teams and Power Apps Integration

So I really like the idea of creating apps in teams and then being able to have our contractors and customers use them.

I've developed a couple so far.

Recently I ran into a weird issue and not sure if anyone else has had this and knows how to resolve or if it is just an issue right now...

I created a Power App directly in teams with a Teams (SharePoint) backend.

We invited guests to join this team through the UI.

But when people join the teams they do not see the PowerApp by default in the desktop app.

But if they go to the web version of Teams and go to the team they see the Power App???

This is very complicated and doesn't make for a good end user experience.

How can I get the Power App to just always show up for guest in desktop or web version of Teams automatically?

Thanks,

Terry

Hi @Mattw112IG ,

Could you tell me:

Have you created an app in teams and added it to the tab?

Did the guest switch the right organization when logging in to desktop teams?

Unfortunately, as a guest, I can see the app in web teams or desktop teams.

I can't reproduce your problem.

In the picture, my apps in the red circle .

Please check the blue arrow to see if the guest has selected the correct organization.

If the desktop teams still cannot display the app, it may be the cause of the teams version.

Please try to change the version.

Thanks.

Yes the Power App has been added to the tab as it works for me, people in my company and people who log in via the web app.  Yes they are using the dropdown for the organization.

Some people report that they can see it in the desktop app AFTER they launch it for the first time in the web app??

I like your version idea... sounds plausible. I will test in the future.

Thanks,

Terry
