Missing Columns from a SharePoint List

Hello, I have a SharePoint list for Project Changes and Issues. That list has a column that is a LookUp from another list that points to a Project List. I wanted these to be connected so we would easily determine what project the Issues or Changes are a part of. This appears in my SharePoint List and is editable from the 'Edit in grid view', but I cannot seem to add it to my SharePoint Form... When I am in PowerApps customizing the form, I select the Form, and select Edit Fields under Properties. When I click "+ Add field" the field that I want is not there... how do I get that field to show?

I thought it was an issue with load time but it has been over 24hrs

@mgwarren94

Have you refreshed the DataSource in your datasources list in PowerApps?  If so, it should show as a field to add to your form.

I hope this is helpful for you.

I did refresh the data. Then saved the app and closed out of the app. I reopened it and I am still not seeing that field

@mgwarren94

What happens if you put another form in your app and set the datasource to that list...does the field appear in the list then?

Well, it is showing up now... looks like it was under a different name and when changing the name in the SharePoint list it didn't actually update the back end? Idk

Jokes on me it is still not showing up. @RandyHayes when I connect it to a new canvas PowerApp it is still not showing up. Could this be because it is a Lookup Field from a different list?

@mgwarren94

Actually, you can never rename a column in SharePoint.  It will always retain the name that it was originally created under.  You can "appear" to change the name and it will show with new names, but under the covers, it is always the original name.

Lookup columns are supported in PowerApps forms, so there is no reason why you would not see it.  Is it possible that it is showing up under the real name (the original) of the column?

Well it looks like, in the List Settings, that the name of it is the name that 'appears' on the list if that is what you mean

Im not sure at this point, it just seems like a bug....

@mgwarren94

There is no bug.  This all works fine.

So what is the real name of that column (the original name)?  You can only find this by clicking on the column name in the list settings and then once on the column definition page, look at the URL.  At the end will be a Field=xxxxx where xxxxx is the real name of the column.

While you're there looking that the definition of the column, snap a screenshot of the setup for that lookup column.
