Missing features in Barcode scanner

Hi,

I cant seem to find the powerapps ideas forum here anymore, but i see two missing features for the barcode scanner.

1. We need an onselect property so we can run code when a new scan is detected.

2. We need a reset method to clear the value of the barcode scanner.

Hello @RussellGove,

We've also recently added support for the Reset function and it should be available Feb 18th 🙂

@RussellGove If it helps, I came across this just yesterday. Basically, an OnScan feature should be rolling out at the end of the month.  This feature should meet your need for the first item you mentioned below.

thanks! i'm keeping my eyes out for the update.

Hooray, The OnScan property has arrived!

It’s there - thank you!

Could you explain how you are using onscan to clear previously scanned barcode.

Cant seem to get it working

Thanks!

Hello @OpsAppMan,

The OnScan is a behaviour property similar to the OnSelect property in other controls. You can use it to set an action once the scan is successful.
