Modify Flow trigger from 'select item' to 'create new item'?

I am using O365 and SharePoint. I created a flow on a SharePoint list. I used an OOTB Flow template like 'Manager approval'. This template is based on selecting an item and start the flow manual. I would like to modify this and trigger the Flow automatic when there is created a new list item. How can I modify this?

You can only change a trigger if there are no actions dependent on its output. For the Mgr approval Flow you would have to delete every action following the trigger because of the out dependency. Basically you would be starting over from scratch in this case.
