Monitoring and Debugging on Mobile For Offline

I'm building a somewhat complicated Canvas App that requires the ability to switch between offline / online modes during or between sessions.  The app uses collections for data sources in most areas, which are created while online and then saved to local storage using SaveData().  When offline, it loads the collections from the locally stored files using LoadData().  It determines if it's online/offline by checking connection status but also checking the value of a checkbox on the settings screen that tells it to simulate being offline for testing.

Of course I encounter the limitations concerning SaveData / LoadData in studio which means a great deal of my app cannot be tested in Studio.  Studio won't write or read data to local files, which is just astonishing to me.  Has anyone found a better way to do this?  Do I just need to use a different low code / no code tool than Powerapps for mobile apps?  If so, does anyone have any suggestions?

Done quite a few online/offline apps in PowerApps and haven't encountered much issue with that aspect of it.

In general, you will have a statement somewhere that will simply populate your collection based on status.  If offline and on a mobile, then Load from device.  It's one line.  After that everything else is identical, browser or device.

I hope this is helpful for you.
