Multiline share point column

Hello,

I have a column in share point list as multiline Plain text

in my field I have the data like a table data, something like this

Product 1       Silicone

Product 3.      caulking

Product 4.      Tape

then in my powerapps I have a text field that get the information from that column.

My question is:

I would like to see the text perfectly aligned, but if I choose Plain text sometimes is not, if I choose rich text it add a weird characters, if I choose Enhanced rich text is even worse.

Product 1           Silicone

Product 3.      caulking

Product 4.        Tape

Something like that, even if in my share point it shows like is aligned.

Any possible workaround?

thank you kindly

Hi @sajarac ,

I am a little confused here - when HTML is parsed, <br> starts a new line as you require.

However you do not need to do a "double" HTML if you simply want a Word Merge field that has new lines in it. You should be able to send

Product1 & char(10) &
Product2 & char(10) &
Product3 & char(10) &
Product4 & char(10) &
Product5 & char(10) &
Product6

as the parameter for the merge field.

@WarrenBelz , thank you very much for you response, I am marking your response as a solution but also I found another way to do it an is easier and I would like to share.

Problem:

Multiline in share point, items i.e.

Product 1

Product 2

Product 3

Product 4

Product 5

Retrieving the items in your app.

Sending the items to your MS Word Template

Product 1  Product 2 Product 3 Product 4 Product 5

Solution

In the developer TAB select "Allow carriage returns (multiple paragraphs). for that specific merge field. That's.

Thanks again for your prompt response as always.

Hi @sajarac ,

Change your font to Courier New and it will space evenly.

Hi Mr. @WarrenBelz , that solution sounds like OMG !!!

I have been trying to figure out this thing for ours.

But my issue is a little big more complex.

Let me I explain why:

the data is in a column in Share Point, Multiline, plain text " I have tried also with rich text"

I have the data back in my power app as a label.

I am parsing the label value and populating a word template with form and word Online.

Even if the data came from a multiline what I am getting is something like this:

<div> Product 1

<br> product 2  <br> product 3

<br> product 4  <br> product 5

<br> product 6

And I would like to see the data in my word template like this:

Product 1

product 2

product 3

product 4

product 5

product 6

Any idea?

And thank you very much again for you help!
