Multiple Search

Hi

I am trying to design a form that has three search boxes based on my 'TicketGallery'.  I have one search box working with the following:

Search(TestMaterialDetail, SearchBoxTestMaterial.Text, "Title") but I have added two more text input boxes and called them 'SearchBoxBatch' and 'SearchBoxStudyNumber' and I would like these to return the values based on the Sharepoint columns with the same name.  However it does not seem to like various lookups - I have tried the following amoungst others but with no success (using both a comma and semi-colon in between the search options).

Search(TestMaterialDetail, SearchBoxTestMaterial. Text, "Title"), Search(TestMaterialDetail, SearchBoxBatch. Text, "Batch"); Search(TestMaterialDetail, SearchBoxStudyNumber. Text, "StudyNumber")

Does anyone know if numerous search options are available as a function and if so, the correct formula.

Many thanks

Lindsay

Re: Multiple Search

Hi,
When you filter records by multiple search condition, you can use nested Search function as

Search(Search(Search(TestMaterialDetail, SearchBoxStudyNumber. Text, "StudyNumber"), SearchBoxBatch. Text, "Batch"),SearchBoxTestMaterial. Text, "Title")

Or you can use Filter function to filter records with multiple condition(formula);

Filter(TestMaterialDetail, StudyNumber=SearchBoxStudyNumber.Text, Batch=SearchBoxBatch.Text, Title=SearchBoxTestMaterial.Text)

For the detail of Filter function, See
https://docs.microsoft.com/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-filter-lookup

Hi Lindsay,

Just additional info.

I wrote blog about multiple search condition using Search() and Filter().

If you would encounter similar problem, please see above post 🙂
