Multiple combox cant be saved twice

I have an issue that my be an "as is" issue and I just have to live with it, but if this is not he case I need assistance;

I have created a multiple combobox to a Gallery and it work perfectly fine to

- select items to this  and store it to a SQL text field (comma separated).

- retrieve the data back when I open the dataset again (the labels are show at least).

I do not however fail when i try to

- store the values back a second time.

I suppose this have something to do with a missing ID int field of som kind, but as long as the data is stored in a comma separated text filed there are no ID field.
Question: Are Multiple Combobox together with SQL as a datasource limited to selections from integer values? If thats the case, are there any workarounds display labels and be able to have the data?

Thanks for any reply!

Re: Multiple combox cant be saved twice

Hi @espenjor

Do you mean that you can not use combo box to update data the second time?

I've made a similar test but not met the same problem like your description.

Here's my test for your reference:

The combo box's Items: ["a","b","c"]

The patch function:

And I could use this combo box to update data for many times.

Could you show me your Combo box's Items and the function about updating?

Could you tell me where did you set update function?

Re: Multiple combox cant be saved twice

Thanks, but the problem is that when you save the result of a Multiple combobox in this way you save eg. "b,c" to a text field and when you try to retrive the selection to the combobox it expects Integer  values. This is simple in SharePoint because SharePoint have implemented multiple selection, I dont see that this can be done in SQL

DefaultSelected Items = ForAll(Filter(Split(LookUp('[dbo].[Sporsmal]';Nummer = varValgtNummer;Profil);"&");!IsBlank(Result));{Value: Result})

Save = Patch('[dbo].[Sporsmal]';LookUp('[dbo].[Sporsmal]';Nummer = varValgtNummer);{Profil:Concat(ComboBox1.SelectedItems; Profil & "&")});; SubmitForm(EndreSpørsmål) ;; Navigate(SpørsmålOversikt;Fade)

Sample selection in the combobox:
