NEW FORM - keep fields populated after dynamically submitting with form mode changed to edit

On a new form are several fields, including some that are calculated within a sharepoint list based upon user input for the date field. These calculated fields are date quarters. Once the date field is changed, I need the quarters on the form to populate and the user can continue to edit the form.

On the New Form date field a calculation is used for "OnChange=SubmitForm(AddForm)". Other calculations have been added to that "FormMode.edit"...but that wipes out all of the populated fields. I have verified that the Item source is blank...and wonder do I need something there for it to show?

I am relatively new to PowerApp. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Re: NEW FORM - keep fields populated after dynamically submitting with form mode changed to edit

This is what solved the need: On the form OnSuccess property: Navigate(Detail,ScreenTransition.UnCover,{detailItem:DetailForm.LastSubmit}), and changed the Mode to Edit.

Re: NEW FORM - keep fields populated after dynamically submitting with form mode changed to edit

Hi @tmarch ,

Do you mean that when your form is in edit mode, your fields keep populating?

Could you tell me where do you set submitform function?

Since you have set a date field's OnChange to this, usually there will also be a submit button with this function.

So, this will lead to submit twice.

I suggest you add some conditions in the OnChange property setting.

For example, set the date field's OnChange to:

If(AddForm.DefaultMode=FormMode.Edit,...

  AddForm.DefaultMode=New,SubmitForm(AddForm))
