Navigation from Gallery to View page to Edit Page

Here is a quick description of my scenario and what I am seeing.

I have a main screen that display icons that can be navigated to.

When you click on an icon it takes you to a detail page.

When you click on the edit icon on the detail page it takes you to the edit page.

You can edit on that page and submit works.

Now the problem.

You are taken back to the detail page but it does not keep the same item, it resets to the very first item in that dataset.

Please let me know any further infromation I can provide.

Re: Navigation from Gallery to View page to Edit Page

When you use Navigate to move between the screens you can set a context variable - e.g.
Navigate(scnDetail,Fade,{RecordID: 5})

So you can pass the detail screen the ID (or other identifier) of the record that should be displayed and reference that ID in a Filter statement for Item property of the form on the detail screen (I'm assuming you are using forms).

If you are using a Form to enter a new record on the Edit screen, check out the LastSubmitted property so you can get the ID of the record created and pass that back to the Detail screen. If you are using Patch to enter a new record you can get the ID of the Patched record by setting a variable to the output of the Patch statement.

Re: Navigation from Gallery to View page to Edit Page

This is helpful and the direction I have been attempting to go.  I think I might be missing something.

I am using a Gallery from the first page to navigate like the following:

Navigate(DetailScreen_1, ScreenTransition.Fade)

Then on the DetailScreen_1 I have view forms (because I am doing a tile layout).  Each on of those  have the Item selected as SupplierGallery.Selected

On the Edit Screen I have OnSuccess set to:

I am guessing from your response and from what I have read I need to change the Item value from SupplierGallery.Selected to something different?

I appreciate your assistance!
