Need Help on Text Input Box Default Value

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year!

I have a quick question about how I can set a default value in the text input box as 0 when the field in my linked sharepoint list is empty and show the sharepoint list value when the field is not empty. I got a circular reference error when I set the default value of the text input box as If(IsBlank(Value(textinput.Text)), Value(textinput.Text) = 0 ,ThisItem.ColumnName).

Much appreciated for any help or insight!

Katherine

How about:

If this is, for example, an Edit Form linked to a SharePoint list which has a text column type.

Change the associated DataCardValue (nested underneath the DataCard in the Tree View) Default property to:

If(IsBlank(Parent.Default),"0",Parent.Default)

Hello @BungleBrain ,

thank you for your quick reply. It is actually a text input embedded in a Gallery, but I will try setting the default of the text input box as you suggested and see if it works!

Thanks a lot!

It actually worked when I use

If(IsBlank(ThisItem.ColumnName),"0",ThisItem.ColumnName)

Thank you @BungleBrain
