Need help in a simple members directory app

I have created a simple members directory app which has a OneDrive- excel file as its database. This has 2 screens the first is where it lists all the member (refer powerapps_directory image) and when you click to any of the members it takes to the 2nd screen that is member details (refer powerapps_memberdetails image).

Now I am extending the features with outlook email and outlook tasks options.

I would like to add two buttons in the member detail screen which will redirect the app to the email screen (refer powerapps_email image) with the respective member's email id as a recipient. Also similar approach for outlook tasks.

I have added outlook 365 as a Datasource.

Note: I don't want to add Office 365 user and want to limit the user database to the Onedrive Excel workbook only.

can someone guide me how can I achieve this?

Re: Need help in a simple members directory app

Hi @abanerjee ,

Did you mean that you want to send an email when selecting the button on the email screen? If so, then set below formula in the OnSelect property of your button:

Office365.SendEmail(inputTo.Text, inputSubject.Text, inputBody.Text)

inputTo is the text control's name of "To", inputSubject is the text control's name of "Subject", and so on.

If your email addresses are all stored in the excel table, then you could set below formula in OnVisible property of the member details screen:

Set(V1, DataCardValue1.Text)

DataCardValue1 is the text control's name of Email column in the member details screen.

Then set the the Default property of the "To" text control in email screen to:

Re: Need help in a simple members directory app

Hi @v-monli-msft ,

Thank you for your reply. So what I want is,

if you see the powerapps_memberdetails screen I have added a button for "Send Email". I would like to use this button to redirect me to the email screen and also it automatically inputs the email id from the member details screen as a recipient address to the email screen.

I hope the above clarification gives you a better picture of my requirement.
