New Rules disappear after creation

I am trying to use the new "Rules" which were released this week.  One issue:  I created a rule, applied a condition and now it disappears from my RULES list.

I have other rules which were created properly and do show up, but I am not sure of what happened with a couple of them that they are gone.

I have read that you cannot rename rules (yet), but is there a way to bring back rules which either had an error or were disabled?

My test is for Condition = 1, 2, 3, etc and it would be great if I could "retrieve" RULE1 which was not created properly, and thus does not display.

Thoughts?

Seeing as it is an experimental feature it possible contains some bugs that slipped through to release. If you can find a way to replicate it, make a post and eventually PA team will solve it

Hi Braney.

Keep in mind that the rule will only show up on the 'destination' control, ie the control on which the action is taken, not the one that is included in the condition.

I hope this helps.

It would be usefull to have an option under say "file" where we can see the rules in the app with the action screen, the two from controls and the abilty to click on these to goto the contraols and see the rule.

Absolutely, I would vote for that!

Did you manage to find your missing rule?

No. I tried clicking on the to/from controls and nothing appeared under the "rules" area.

Hi @BraneyBI,

Thanks for posting! The rules show based off selection determined via the destination control as @DavesTechTips mentioned. In the future, we hope to consider controls referenced in the condition, as well, but we will see.

In any case, we have an upcoming change that allows you to toggle between showing showing just rules relevant to selection and showing all rules. Once that is released, that will solve your problem.

Hi BraneyBI. Some good news, rules are now accessible for the entire screen, by removing the option to only show rules for the selected control.

Like the new rules functionality in update. Thank you.

Yes, me too! We are using it to consolidate some of the business logic now, and it is working quite well. See below:
