New field to populate based on choice in dropdown

Hi,

I'm trying to populate an email-address in a field based on choice from a drop-down.

I have inserted a text input field below the drop-down field.

For example... If Dropdown Choice "1" is chosen I need to populate "User1@email.com",  If Dropdown Choice "2" is chosen I need to populate "User2@email.com" etc in the text input field.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Much appreciated 🙂

I managed to figure it out :). I had to hardcode this into the APP.

If(DataCardValue30.Selected.Value = "Corporate", "User1@Gmail.com", DataCardValue30.Selected.Value = "Joint Venture", "User2@Gmail.com", DataCardValue30.Selected.Value = "Allocations/D-WBS", "User3@Gmail.com", DataCardValue30.Selected.Value = "Project", "User4@Gmail.com", DataCardValue30.Selected.Value = "New License", "User5@Gmail.com", DataCardValue30.Selected.Value = "Other", "User6@Gmail.com")

Hi @Anonymous

Is this coming from some data source or you need to hardcode this in the App?

You need to have some relationship between the dropdown and the email field stored somewhere

Lets say u have a SP list called DataList

Title       Email

1          user1@gmail.com

2          user2@gmail.com

Then for the dropdown control Items you can use DataList and set the Value property of dropdown to Title

Then for text input field you can set text property to

dropdown.Selected.Email
