NextArrow issue in a gallery based on an Excel spreadsheet hosted in OneDrive

Hello!

I have a very simple yet very frustrating issue.

I have a gallery with a scrolldown layout with different links to different screens but the problem is i can only configurate the first nextarrow and this arrow controls the rest of the arrows. So for example if i make the arrow navigate to the screen shown in the attachment, it does the same for the rest of the arrows. So now if I click the second arrow in preview mode, it takes me to the same place.

So how can i configure the arrows so that each arrow links to a different screen?

I've tried configurating them in one line like this: Navigate(Helsinki_Roolit; Joensuu_Roolit; Kouvola_Roolit; Cover) but no success.

Any suggestions? Powerapps is still very new to me so I must apologize if my question seems overly easy.

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

It looks like the second column on your table is city name. Assuming that your screen navigation is based on that city name, you can easily create a screen map collection and then navigate accordingly:

ClearCollect(sMap, Table({city: "Helsinki", scr: Screen1}, {city: "Oulu", scr: Screen2}))

Then, assuming that the second column in your gallery has a value of "city_name", you can use the following navigation formula:

Navigate(LookUp(sMap, city=ThisItem.city_name).scr, ScreenTransition.Cover)

The example collection above contains only 2 cities. You will have to create one (in the app or as a table at your source) for each of your cities.

Hope this helps.

Actually I have an Excel file with multiple tables for each city. Unfortunately it is not possible to form my tables with every city being in the same table and in different columns.

Can't I anyway link my arrows to point in the right table?

Thanks for your advice though! Appreciate it!

Hi @mhyvarinen,

Can you put the tables for each city to different screens? If yes, you could choose not to insert the NextArrow icon inside the Gallery control.

For example, you put Helsinki to Screen2 and Joensuu to Screen3. Then you do not put the Next Arrow inside the gallery, but insert multiple arrow icons one by one. And set the OnSelect property one by one to:

Arrow1.OnSelect=Navigate(Screen2,None)
Arrow2.OnSelect=Navigate(Screen3,None)
.
.
.

Would this be possible for you?

Regards,

Mona

Hi!

Yes I thought about that and began to create the arrows one by one but the problem was since it is a page that scrolls down, I couldn't find a way to lock the arrows in one place so when I scrolled down, the arrows moved also. Any solution to this because if there is a way to lock them in one location on a page then I would gladly do it the way you suggested! 🙂
