No function signature - when filtering using =

Could anyone help me with my formula for filtering a gallery?

The gallery is based on a CDS entity "Projects" one of the lookup fields of which is "OU and Salesperson"

This is related to the entity "OU Salesperson Lists," one of the text fields of which is "OU Manager Full Name"

I would like to filter the gallery based on the full name of the manager eg "Tom Smith"

I tried the following formula, which seems to work but pulls a "no function signature for the function with name 'contains'" error:

Filter(
    Projects,
    'OU and Salesperson'.'OU Manager Full Name' = "Tom Smith"
)

Is there a different way I can write the formula to avoid this error?

thanks!
