Please explain to me why when coding this way it doesn't return any result. But if in a second way, the result is returned as expected even though the logic of both ways is not different.

In general, I have seen something won't work when it has column conflict. In that case, It won't throw the error but not do anything. But in this case, I'm not seeing any column name conflict also. May be query execution order is wrong.
