Not display app if opened not from PowerBI

Hi Everyone

I've created an app which is displayed inside PowerBI report, using PowerBIIntegration object.

I would like to allow users open the app only from report and not from direct link.

Is there any way to check from what source PowerApps are opened?

Thank you

Re: Not display app if opened not from PowerBI

Hi @maxsnow,

I think that cannot be achieved so far. If you do not want users to open the app out of PowerBI report, that means that you do not want users to use the app in standalone app, then you will have to prevent to use PowerBI connection in PowerApps. If you do that (using DLP policy), you won't be able to use PowerApps in PowerBI report either.

Mona

Re: Not display app if opened not from PowerBI

Hi @v-monli-msft

Thank you for reply.

Yes, looks like it is not possible.

As a workaround I check number of records in PowerBIIntegration.Data object and hide some UI elements if data is not provided.

Max
