Number formatting on ID Number

Hi

I have am using the 'ID' field on a sharepoint list, and created a new column named 'Req ID' which uses the ID and adds leading 1000000 to make it a more user friendly Request ID.  So e.g. ID 32 = Req ID 1000032.

I have set up a power automate flow on this field to display in an auto email.  However when the email is generated - the Req ID is coming through as "1000032.00000000".

How do I get rid of the decimal and following zeroes?

Thanks

BA

Hi @B_Austin ,

Is the problem you encountered is that the Req ID field you got in Flow contains decimals?

Could you please provide more details about your flow and the Column Setting of your Req ID Column?

I have made a test for your reference but it worked fine on my side, there are no decimals in my email.

1. Here is my SharePoint list.

2. Create a flow.

Hi @B_Austin ,

A much easier way of doing it - on the OnSuccess of your New Form

With(
   {wID:Self.LastSubmit.ID},
   Patch(
      YourSPListName,
      {ID:wID},
      {'Req ID',wID * 1000000}
   )
)
