Office365 Outlook Connector and Meeting Series Issue

I'm using the Office365 Outlook connector. For this example, my gallery syntax looks like this:

myGallery.Items =

Filter(Office365.CalendarGetItems("Calendar").value,
Start > Date(2018, 11, 11),
Start < Date(2018, 11, 17)
)

For the most part, the connector successfully pulls my calendar events. One strange hiccup I'm seeing is with meetings that are created as part of a series. For example, people might schedule an event that occurs at the beginning and middle of the month and instead of manually creating 24 events by hand, they just create an event and tell it to reoccur (Meeting Series).

In the screenshot below, for example-sake, I created a meeting on Monday the 12th. I created 1x meeting but told it to reoccur 5x days back-to-back as part of a series. The net result is an event that occurs from the 12th to the 16th.

But my gallery only pulls the initial meeting and not the following occurences (see screenshot below).

I imagine it has to do with Outlook object-structure. Does anyone know how to access the occurrences?

Re: Office365 Outlook Connector and Meeting Series Issue

Hi @tommyly,

Do you want to get all Outlook event occurences within your Gallery rather than just the initial meeting?

I have made a test, and the issue is confirmed on my side.

If you created a Recurrence event within your Outlook calendar, when you list it within a Gallery in an app, it could only display one event rather than a series of occurrences.

Actually, each occurrence of the Recurrence event (a series of occurrences) is just a copy of the initial event, and the Event ID of each occurrence of the Recurrence event is the same one.

Currently, within PowerApps, you could only list events with different Event IDs from your Outlook Calendar in a Gallery control. If you want to list all occurrences of the Recurrence event within a Gallery control, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps.

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

Best regards,

Kris
